Trina Fa'alafua, Westminster High :: 2012 Seniors

It's about that time of the year again. As the seasons change and those preparing to graduate this summer fill the air with excitement! What better way to celebrate one of your greatest achievements, but to document it. Recently, I had the privilege of taking Senior Portraits of a young lady by the name of Trina Fa'alafua hailing from Westminster High School. During our session we also were able to get some shots of her cousin, Colbie Brown, who also happens to be a senior. Here are a few of my fav's from our shoot!

Baby Brehze Robertson :: Buena Park, CA

Baby Brehze, such a beauty. Only 10 days old when these photos were taken. She's the new princess in her circle of siblings and the only girl. By request of the family, something special was brought to use in this shoot. You will see Brehze wearing an ie lavalava which belonged to her great great grandmother, Ufiufi Saleapaga. That makes for 5 generations. How special is that?! I was told that this was an ie that Grandma Ufiufi was never without and I could tell that it was something of such sentimental value to the family. That day I was reminded that sometimes when loved ones pass on, we hold on to things that remind us of them... like this special ie and also like photographs. Thank you Ben & Kelly for allowing me to capture your new precious bundle of joy!

Talataina Family :: Orange, CA

I've known this family ever since I was in primary and as long as I can remember. Recently, they lost a member of their family and today, a part of their family unit will be moving back home to the islands of Samoa. They are going to be missed by so many. The quote that comes to mind every time I look at their photos is..

"The love of a family is life's greatest blessing"

Thank you to the Talataina Family for the love, the laughs, and the sweet memories.
